The video clip for "Baby are you there?" was a collaboration between The Audreys, Restless Dance Theatre and Goodmorningbeautiful Films. Restless is a dance troupe made up of dancers with physical and intellectual disabilities and I've admired their work for years. When we came up with the idea of inviting them to part of a film clip we decided we wanted steer away from anything over-earnest, so we picked an up-beat song and a light approach. In rehearsals we just played the tune and let people freestyle and come up with their own "signature" moves. We wanted it to be fun and entertaining, and the film noir vibe came about because we were all big fans of that look and era. Filming was done in a day at the Restless studios in Adelaide and many laughs were had. We hope you enjoy.
The official video for "Troubles Somehow", the first single from The Audreys' third album, "Sometimes the Stars". Filmed in a Masonic Lodge in Suburban Melbourne, directed by Campbell Hynam-Smith and produced by Andrea Distefano. "There is nothing more surreal than walking into a hall filled with stormtroopers, cheerleaders, rockers, indie kids, gamers and roller skater girls... we had such a great time shooting the clip, thanks to all the people who came along and danced like crazy people for us." - Campbell Hynam-Smith, Director.
The second music video produced for a single lifted from "Between Last Night And Us".
The Audreys are a triple ARIA Award-winning Australian blues/roots band who formed in Adelaide, South Australia in 2004. They have released four studio albums to date.
