Ok, we've been working hard on our new album, really we have. Check out the special news page we've started for y'all here, so you can keep on eye on how it's progressing.
We'll be hitting the road and showing off our studio tans a little over New Year. First we're on Philip Island in Victoria for Pyramid Rock Festival, then at Peats Ridge Fetival on the Central Coast of NSW. Check the tour page for more details and maybe we'll see you there.
All the best for the silly season.

The Audreys are pleased as punch to announce that music from their album "Between Last Night and Us" provides the soundtrack to the upcoming six part ABC mini-series Rain Shadow. Filmed in the Adelaide Hills, the series stars Rachel Ward & Victoria Thaine as two country vets in a small farming community battling the effects of the drought.
An ABC Australia/Southern Star Entertainment production, Rain Shadow premieres Sunday October 7 at 8.30pm on ABC TV. We've had a sneak peak and we highly recommend tuning in.

Well the wheels are finally in motion. Yes friends, work has begun on album number two, woo hoo! Stay tuned, we're going to start a web-blog to keep you all up to date on progress.
What else has been happening? Before taking off to New York and Nashville for a bit of songwriting inspiration, Taasha and Tristan attended the ARIA Hall of Fame event in Melbourne to help inductee Brian Cadd perform his big 1972 hit "Ginger Man". Here are some pics from the performance and the red carpet.

In other news - the very photogenic Ms Taasha Coates has appeared in a beautiful desk diary released by Witchery to raise funds and awareness for Ovarian Cancer. Good on you Taasha! The 2008 diaries will be sold in Witchery stores from September, with all proceeds donated to cancer research. You can grab yourself one here.
See you at a summer festival...

Well folks, the sun has finally set on our Sheets To The Wind Tour and the good ship Audreys has docked back in Adelaide. We're looking forward to some time back on land to work on our new album.
And what a tour it was. Biggest love to all you gorgeous folk who came to see us play, especially those brave souls who tackled the fierce storms in Sydney and on the West Coast. Thanks also to our fearless and inspiring support act Mr Andrew Morris, we miss you already, and a big cheers to tour guests Hazel Brown, Tara Simmons, Bridget Pross, Abbe May and our dear friends from brillig.
Special thanks go to all the dedicated folks who suggested cover songs for the tour. We hope you enjoyed listening to them as much as we enjoyed tackling them each night. Phew! Adelaide folks can catch Taasha and Tristan performing all the covers in one special night at their beloved local watering hole, The Wheatsheaf Hotel, on July 14th. Tickets are $20 from the bar, but be quick...

Hi folks,
Well we're back at home for a few days before we head west, and it's been great to see all your friendly faces out there. Thanks Queensland and we're sorry for bringing the rain, thanks Sydney for putting up with us for a whole week, thanks Tassie for braving the cold and coming out, and Adelaide what can we say - home town gigs are always special for us, but wow that was a real smasher.
Oh, and big thanks to Marty, Skye, Brett, Kate, Stu, Ian, Jenni, Kevin and Peter for their cover suggestions, we sure hope you enjoyed them.
Perth here we come...

Howdy folks,
Well the first week of our tour has been smashing, and this message finds us Audreys sitting in a cafe in Byron Bay on a gorgeous afternoon.
Thanks to all the lovely Victorian folks for coming out and listening, thanks to air-tambourine lady for giving us all a laugh at The Corner, thanks to the 9am folks for letting us come in at midday, and thanks to Ray & Whitney, Petrea, Leigh & Cait for the great cover requests.
Looking forward to seeing all you NSW and Queensland folks on the road real soon...

Hello friends,
Well it's been an exciting summer and we hope you've all kept yourself out of the sun's harmful rays and worked tirelessly on your rock 'n' roll moon-tans. Thanks to all the folks who came and cheered for us at the summer festivals, and to all those who left their love and goodwill on our myspace site and guestbook.
We are very pleased to announce our 'Sheets to the Wind' Australian Tour, our very last tour for 2007. That's right, we're doing one final lap of the country before we settle into the more serious business of making our second album. Be sure to get your tickets nice 'n' early - lots of shows sold out on our last tour and we wouldn't want any of you lovely folk to miss out on our final shows for the year. Tickets go on sale on April 9th, and tour support will be Brisbane troubadour Andrew Morris.
We will be continuing the tradition of playing a different cover song at each show, so if you know what you'd like to hear jump onto our myspace site and let us know. There will be lots of new and exculsive content up there soon too, but more on that later. Oh, and tune in to Max to win a framed and autographed copy of our tour poster. If you're lucky enough to have cable that is. Sigh.
Hey, tune your telly to the ABC on April 4th to see Taasha on "Spicks and Specks". Check out www.abc.net.au/tv/spicksandspecks. Fun will be had!
See you on the road,
The Audreys xx
